Empowering Families & Caregivers
Families are at the heart of lasting inclusion. VOHF equips parents and caregivers with the knowledge, confidence, and tools to support their children’s learning and wellbeing. Through disability-rights education, home-based support, and peer networks, families become strong advocates who help break stigma and build a culture of belonging in their communities.
What this includes:
- Disability rights and awareness training for parents
- Coaching on supporting learning and communication at home
- Parent support groups and peer mentorship
- Linking families to essential health and social services
Why it matters:
When families understand and champion inclusion, children with disabilities are more likely to attend school, stay in school, and thrive in their communities.
