THE SONYA BRYSON
VOICES OF HOPE FOUNDATION
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. MS is an immune-mediated process; an abnormal response of the body’s immune system is directed against the central nervous system, which is made up of the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. The exact target that the immune cells are sensitized to attack remains unknown. The Sonya Bryson Voices of Hope Foundation is a non-profit organization established by Sonya Bryson and her family. She originally gained notoriety by performing the National Anthem for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Now, she is using her voice to bring awareness to MS, and provide support to programs that help families who have been affected by this disease.
Sal's Soldiers mission is to raise awareness and funding for those struggling with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in the Tampa Bay Area. Our ultimate goal is to spread awareness of this terrible disease not only in the Tampa Bay Area but throughout the country. Sal's Soldiers is willing to help these families by providing any means necessary in order to ease the everyday obstacles faced by MS patients. Our assistance can include, but is not limited to, the settlement of medical bills or to provide the individual with any medical equipment and supplies needed.

The National MS Society is a nonprofit organization that works to improve the quality of life for people affected by MS in central Florida and raise funds for critical MS research. Join the movement toward a world free of MS. More than 2.3 million people are affected by MS worldwide, but because symptoms can be completely invisible, the prevalence of MS in the U.S. can only be estimated. The Society continues to advocate for the establishment of a national registry that will track the number of people living with MS and has made a commitment to re-evaluate the current prevalence estimate and investigate the process by which an updated estimate can be identified.
